Mr.Blankie and Mr.Cocoa!

It's amazing what hot cocoa will do for you after waiting out in the snow for forty minutes, waiting for the bus. Normally I'm not that sensitive to cold, but tonight, with just a t-shirt on under my hoodie, I just wanted to come home and curl up with my cocoa and my blankie.

And that's what I'm doing. It's so warm and fuzzy and snuggly. The only thing that would make this better is having one of my boys around to talk my fingers off. Nothing like a nice, long conversation about writing techniques (in the case of my best friend) or the proper way to occupy one's hands while watching porn (in the case of my boyfriend) to warm you up. Alas, one is in Belgium (where it is four in the morning) and the other is not around.

So I am watching old SNL episodes and writing this entry. Quite the Saturday night, eh? I went out! I saw other humans! I made an ass of myself in front of them!

No, not karaoke. I went to the movies. If you're the sort that cares about these things, I went to see Hitch. Yes, it's a romantic comedy, and yes I went alone. But they didn't have anything with explosions or large swords, so...*shrug* It was either that, another romantic comedy, or a heartwarming family feature. Pardon me for going to see a Will Smith movie.

And let me just say that nachos are the greatest movie snack known to man. It's 100% fake, but the cheese they give you for dipping is just...Mmm. Salty and slippery and spicy and cheesey and so very yellow... I don't just place them above popcorn because I eat it for meals several times a week. It's just...junk food without feeling like junk food. Just add some lettuce and beans and veggies and it would be a decent meal!

So yes. I had my nachos cos that was all I could afford (A real shame- free movie night and all I can afford are nachos) and I walked into the darkened theater. It was spooky. There were shadowy bumps all over the place that could have been like...monsters or something. It was just people, but it /could/ have been monsters. Maybe.

I probably shouldn't say I /walked/ into the theater. More like stumbled, stepped, and almost fell on my arse. There's a step down when you first go in, and I always forget about it. So...yah. Lots of Orchid coming down very heavily on a booted left foot and then yelling "bloody fuck!" apparently attracts attention. Who would have thought?

Anyway, Hitch was good. Cute, with your typical romantic comedy formula. It could have done with more explosions, but it was still pretty cool.

You know, now that I think about it...it was kinda like Mr.Deeds + The Wedding Planner + Notting Hill... Gotta love movie formulae. So much easier to get down than say...Fourier Transformations. *whimper*

I think I'll take Mr.Blankie (Mr.Cocoa died) and Mr.Physics Book and curl up on our couch. Put a movie in the PS2. We'll see.

I go. See you guys tomorrow. Or later tonight if I get bored again.
